Recap | Halsey St. Block Party

{Photo by Shameful D.}

We had the chance to attend the last block party on Halsey St. People of all characters and special in every way were there. I handed a bunch of flyers for the November 7th Pretty/Ugly and Food x Clothing Drive event and met up with Quintus, professor in Rutgers, who will also be handing out the Pretty/Ugly fliers to his students. Word.

Peace to Submerged Art, a van painted in chalkboard paint. It was fun tagging it up. Did a great photoshoot inside the van, we were crazy kids. Wait till you see the pictures! Glocally Newark, for always being so kind and just as crazy as Chainsaws and Jelly. And love Newark Museum!

Daniel Joseph had graced the Apple computers and was a guest blogger. I finally met Ninapilar. Shouts to you girl. And most of all, it was a great vibe, as always. So to all who was invited and didn't get to make it, come out next time. Experience things in NJ.

Also, how come Cory Booker hasn't come out to any of these block parties held at Halsey St? We've seen the Street Doctor from Street Warriors, we've seen the swanky dressed Newark Police but only one person missing, always, Cory Booker.

Cory, hope you can make it to the Seed Gallery on November 7th. We'd love for you to come out! Thanks.
